A little about me

I am a Montreal based dietitian/nutritionist with interest in diabetes nutrition, weight loss nutrition, chronic disease management and pediatric nutrition.  For more information, click here.

Why consult a dietitian?

Dietitians are trained to translate scientific research into practical solutions to promote health through food and nutrition.  A dietitian can provide individualized counselling and meal plans to help manage your weight, food allergies, chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.  A dietitian can also provide information to help you interpret nutrition facts tables, nutrition labels, the latest food trends and diets.

What is the difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?

Dietitians have a university degree and at least 1250 hours of supervised, hands-on training.  The title “Dietitian” is protected by law, which means only individuals having completed the adequate training can use this title.  The title “Nutritionist” is protected only in Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia – this means that in other provinces, anyone can use this title.
